Rage Across the Motor City Disclaimer
Please read this Disclaimer before Entering the RAMC RPG Board.
Rage Across the Motor City (RAMC) is a multi-player,
interactive online role-playing environment based on the StoryTeller© Role Playing
System. The RAMC environment is dynamic. Anything can change, based on role-playing and
plot interaction. Characters take roles in virtually any part of the Chronicles being
run, including a number of factions that are directly opposed to each other when they
occur; these conflicts are what drives the majority of the smaller plots. Players on
RAMC are expected to be able to initiate role-play among themselves with only the
structures and foundations set forth by the administrators. RAMC is for the majority
self-generated.
Duties of the Storytellers (also called Moderators) are to
input needed information when needed in times of storyline plots, help players with
gaming and system rules and guidelines, moderate combats when they occur, approve
characters and monitor In-Game situations when they need to be monitored.
We strongly encourage players here on RAMC to have
creative input into stories being implemented by other players and/or Storytellers.
Intra-character situations have a larger effect on RAMC, and thus characters will need
to be "fully approved and overseen" by the system admin. Example: the destruction of
a safe haven, destruction of a building, etc.
RAMC is both a public and a private site. It is public in
that anyone may access the site through an internet browser, and read certain of the
forums and other information located throughout the site. It should be noted that,
as a public site, children may be reading your posts. The public sections of the
forums will be monitored much more closely because of this. Please, keep it clean!
On the other hand, some parts of RAMC are private. To gain access, you must submit your
member ID and be approved. RAMC has 3 basic access levels (4 if you include "no
access"): Administrator (me), who has access to everything;
Storytellers/Moderators, who can approve characters, run storylines,
moderate chats and forums, etc.; and Players/Members, who can read and
post in most forums, play characters in the gaming chat rooms, etc. It should be noted
that at least one forum is reserved for the Admin and Moderators, and that players and
unregistered guests will not have access to it. Also, while all of the chat rooms
require that you log in to participate, some will also allow read-only access (in case
someone just wants to see what's been happening). In addition, chat room discussions are
automatically archived, and the Administrator and Moderators can view the archive of any
chat room at any time.
MUST READS

This is a game - a fantasy role-playing game.
This means that you play a role. If you have problems remembering this;
if you think or feel that this in any way reflects Real Life, and that fae, mages,
vampires and werewolves exist, then something is seriously wrong with you, and
we strongly suggest you should seek psychiatric help as soon as possible.
[B]
This is a game for "mature minds".
As we have neither the time nor the resources to psychoanalyze each and every person who
requests membership herein, we must trust that those who do play here are mature enough
to handle it. We strongly suggest to those players who cannot remain mature that they
find another game to play. As this site was created so that mature players could have
fun being creative and enjoying the role-playing experience, any players who attempt to
ruin the experience for others can and will be banned from play. The RAMC site admin
and moderators use a "NO TOLERANCE" rule - they will not tolerate
abuse of other players, the gaming system, or this website.
[C]
No cyber-sex!
Players seeking to use online gaming for cyber-sex, whether In-Character or
Out-Of-Character, are not welcomed on this site. All chat room discussions are archived
and reviewed regularly (the site Admin is a bit of a voyeur). If players are discovered
doing such an act on the site, by RAMC staff or players, the persons involved will be
immediately banned [the length of ban will vary, dependent on the situation]. If for
some reason it does happen for storyline reasons, it is expected to be
played out in-character, and done in good taste. By no means should
details of the act be discussed! (For example: as the characters are about to enact
such a scene, they should post a --> ::fade to black:: <-- type message; i.e.,
"you know what happens next; end of scene".)

Players' Original Character Art and Character Writings:
RAMC acknowledges that players’ "works of character art and/or writings" submitted for
posting on RAMC are the players' original art and/or writings, created by them. RAMC
does not claim players' works as its own. If a Player requests that their art and/or
writings be removed, RAMC will abide by their written request. If the players' art
and/or writings are to be altered, then a written request must be submitted with the
updated information to be posted on site. RAMC does not and will never claim ownership
on what does not originally belong to the site. RAMC respects all Copyright Laws, and
recognizes that players' art and/or writings need to be protected under these copyright
laws.
[F]
No children permitted.
As stated previously (see above), this site is intended for mature players. As such, it
is the policy of the site administrator(s) to require that all players be at least 13
years old. I know, I know, why did we pick that particular number. Well, to be honest,
it's because other places do the same thing. Movies are rated "PG-13". Many online
games limit the experience of under-age players. Etc... Let's face it - if you're under
13, don't you have better things to be doing, than hanging out with a bunch of old
people?
Seriously, though, if you're under 13, please don't lie to us and say otherwise. We'll
find out eventually, and when we do, things can get....ugly. (Like, your entire IP being
banned from the site, just to name one.)
